Which AI engines do you check, and why?
Three: ChatGPT Search, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. They're where most people in Canada get AI answers about local businesses today, and we check the real consumer products, not a developer version.
- ChatGPT Search: the most used AI assistant. When people ask it for a local business, it searches the web and names a few.
- Gemini: Google's assistant, built into Android phones and Google's apps.
- Google AI Overviews: the AI summary at the top of some Google searches. It shows up right where people already look for a plumber or a lawyer.
The real thing, not a lookalike
We capture the answers the consumer products give, through a search-data provider, and label them as such. We never ask a developer model behind the scenes and call it ChatGPT. Each answer is saved with its sources and the time it was captured.
What about Perplexity, Claude or Copilot?
We don't check them yet. We only list engines we actually scan, and we'll add more when customers are asking them for local businesses in real numbers and we can capture their answers reliably.
