Accessibility statement

Cited should work for everyone who runs a local business, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, zoom or voice control. Here is the standard we build to, where we fall short, and how to tell us.

Effective October 18, 2026

1. Our standard

We build the public site, the free report and the app to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA. That includes the WCAG 2.0 AA level that Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) sets for websites. We are a small Ontario business and follow the AODA Customer Service Standard: we provide accessible formats and communication support on request, and we welcome feedback on accessibility.

2. How we check

  • An automated accessibility check (axe-core, WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules) runs on our main pages on desktop and mobile with every change. A serious or critical problem blocks the release.
  • We test by keyboard alone: skip links, focus that stays inside dialogs, Escape to close, and visible focus.
  • Animations stop when your device asks for reduced motion.

3. Known gaps

We would rather tell you than have you find out. As of the date above:

  • A few colours fall below AA contrast: the orange button in onboarding, some labels in the app's side menu, step numbers in the report and small chart labels. New colours are being chosen with our designer.
  • We have not yet done a full pass with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA), at 200% zoom, or on our emails.
  • Some menus in the signed-in app don't close with Escape yet.

4. Alternative formats

Every report has a print and PDF version. If you need something else, such as a plain-text report, a report read out on a call, or help using any page, ask us. It costs nothing, and we will agree a format and timing with you.

5. Send feedback

Tell us about a barrier, or ask for a format, any way that works for you:

  • Email morais.aaron@gmail.com with “Accessibility” in the subject
  • Write to us at Toronto, Ontario, Canada

We reply within two business days, tell you what we will do and by when, and let you know when it is fixed. Feedback can be anonymous. This statement and our accessibility policy are available in an accessible format on request.
