Fixes

How long do fixes take to work?

Most fixes take 10 to 45 minutes to publish, and our next weekly check confirms they are live. AI answers take longer to catch up, usually weeks rather than days, because the AI has to find and trust the new information. Nobody can promise a date.

Publishing the fix

Most fixes are small: a paragraph about a service, your hours, a list of areas you serve, or a block of structured data. A web person can usually publish a few in an afternoon. Each fix in your plan is written so you can copy and paste it.

Seeing it verified

When you publish a fix, mark it as applied. Every check re-reads your site, and when it sees the change live it marks the fix Verified. On a paid plan that happens at the next weekly check. If a fix later disappears from the site, it goes back on your list.

Seeing AI answers change

This part is slower and less predictable. The AI tools need to visit your pages again, and the sites they cite need to pick you up too. Expect weeks rather than days, and look at the trend over four to eight weekly checks rather than any single week.

Cited can't promise that any change will get you named. No one can: the AI companies control their own answers. What the weekly checks do is show you, with evidence, whether things are moving.

Still stuck?

A real person replies within one business day, usually much sooner.
